In the heart of Los Angeles, a desperate mother has until midnight to find the money for her dying son’s heart transplant. She turns to her ex-boyfriend, an ex-con on parole, who risks everything in a race against time to rob his old crew and save the son he never knew he had.

Tanner — 30s, jittery, wiry man with a weasel’s grin and covered in tattoos.

Boss — 50s, greasy, loud, impatient, a terrible man who thrives on power over others.
